Seated and standing yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. This gentle yoga is a restful, calming class that includes breathing, gentle flowing movements with passive and supported posses.  This class is appropriate for all levels, including those with limited mobility or those that prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga. The City of Avon Lake is pleased to announce the fourth season of a recreational fall baseball league for the Jr. Thurman division. New for 2021 we are also adding a Sr. Thurman division!  Games will take place at Weiss Fi­eld in Avon Lake starting August 14th and ending, weather permitting, by October 9th. Games will be played on Saturdays with rain-outs attempted to be made up as double headers later in the season.   There will be 8 games and no post-season tournament.   As in the Spring, games will have a drop dead 1 hour and 45 min time limit. There is a 96 player limit for each league (8 teams of 12) and no complete teams are permitted to enter either league. All players will go into a draft pool and, prior to drafting, an evaluation will be held at a date TBD.

Standing class designed to decrease the risk of falls with focus on improving balance and lower body strength. This class is designed to increase Mobility and Flexibility for all who are interested in increasing and maintaining daily functionality regardless of their range of motion. The program is especially helpful to those suffering the effects of Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Yoga Club is a fun and engaging way for tweens & teens to practice the art of yoga, a form of exercise that builds mind, body and spirit through stretching, breathing, movement, poses, strengthening activities and games. Yoga Club is for students grades 6 and up seeking to stay active and strengthen themselves in a safe, non-competitive environment. It is not necessary for members to be knowledgeable in yoga but to have an attitude and willingness to participate with an open heart and mind.Yoga Club is designed for boys and girls grades 5 and up and is instructed by 200-hour certified Yoga instructor, Heather Gillespie. All players will go into a draft pool and, prior to drafting, an evaluation will be held at a date TBD.

Yoga Club is a fun and engaging way for tweens & teens to practice the art of yoga, a form of exercise that builds mind, body and spirit through stretching, breathing, movement, poses, strengthening activities and games. Yoga Club is for students grades 6 and up seeking to stay active and strengthen themselves in a safe, non-competitive environment. It is not necessary for members to be knowledgeable in yoga but to have an attitude and willingness to participate with an open heart and mind.Yoga Club is designed for boys and girls grades 5 and up and is instructed by 200-hour certified Yoga instructor, Heather Gillespie.
