An exercise program designed to increase Mobility and Flexibility for all who are interested in increasing and maintaining daily functionality regardless of their range of motion. The class may help to enhance quality of life, range of motion, flexibility & much more. The program is especially helpful to those suffering the effects of Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. A perfect 50+ class that incorporates stretching, balance, agility, strength and cardio, along with fun music. This class utilizes various equipment, such as weights, exercise balls, drumming sticks, and much more. A portion of the class is seated in chairs and the rest completed standing. No floor work.There is an $8.00 drop-in fee per class or you can purchase a 12 visit punch pass membership for $60.00. 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM    Astro 101 - Astro 101
This program takes place at the Old Firehouse Community Center, 100 Avon Belden Rd. Masks must be worn and your temperature will be taken when entering the facility.  This is a great workshop for the beginner astronomer! Learn to navigate the night sky for each season and what free resources are available for stargazing.  Learn how to operate the Avon Lake Park & Recreation Dobsonian telescope. Weather permitting, we will observe the Moon and other seasonal objects. Trained participants will be permitted to sign-out the telescope at a later date to enjoy at home.Cost: $3 per resident/$5 per non-residentWho: Great for families, individuals or kids age 5 and up!

Classes are offered at the Old Firehouse Community Center, 100 Avon Belden Rd. We are changing to a session format in place of tickets. Classes will start on July 1st. Until and including July 22nd you may use any tickets you have left. If you do not have any tickets or run out of them, you may pay as you go until the start of Session One. This class is designed to work all major muscles with a variety of strength and conditioning exercises.  This sculpting class will tone upper and lower body using various equipment like hand weights, body bars, TRX, and your own body weight.  This class is for all levels.There is an $8.00 drop-in fee per class or you can purchase a 12 visit punch pass membership for $60.00.
