Using a chair, a variety of modifications are offered and poses are sequenced in a slow rhythmic flow, with proper alignment. And better yet, we are excited to offer an expanded schedule with new class offerings. Be sure to view the schedule below to see the class styles and descriptions. They range from traditional all-levels flow to stretching-focused and meditative. 5-10 Year of Age-All skill levels are welcome! The 10 and under tennis program is designed and structured for children to learn, rally, and play quickly in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding.  The tailored equipment and courts are "right size" and makes the game more accessible, and more fun, by allowing kids to get involved right from the start. Children will learn the basic fundamentals and experience a positive and rewarding introduction to the sport of tennis. 11 and Over - All skill levels are welcome! The tennis program is designed and structured for children to learn, rally, and play quickly in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding.  The tailored equipment and courts are "right size" and makes the game more accessible, and more fun, by allowing kids to get involved right from the start. Children will learn the basic fundamentals and experience a positive and rewarding introduction to the sport of tennis. Tennis Professionals will divide children on the court according to age and ability levels. NO CLASS THE WEEK OF JUNE 29-JULY 4 Participants are expected to provide their own racquet, sunscreen, water, and should wear athletic shoes. Our instructors do not permit players to wear flip-flops or sandals during lessons for safety reasons.  Please bring your racquet to each lesson.

Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!AGE RESTRICTIONS-This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!AGE RESTRICTIONS-This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Other ages may be accommodated but please check with the attendant.-All youth under 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department.-Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14 years old or older. Children under 6 years old need to have a responsible individual within arm’s reach at all times.This program is made possible with the support of ODNR Division of Wildlife, the USFWS Wildlife & Sportfish Restoration Act, Baumler's Outdoors, and Erie Outfitters.

Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!AGE RESTRICTIONS-This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Other ages may be accommodated but please check with the attendant.-All youth under 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department.-Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14 years old or older. FREEJoin us this summer at Walker Road Park Reservoir for another year of our popular fishing program! Beginning June 17th, poles, bait and knowledgeable attendants will be available. Stop up once to give it a try or make it a part of your daily routine!W/Th/F/Sat from 10:00AM - 2:00PM at Walker Road Park. Catch Bluegill, Bass and Catfish!AGE RESTRICTIONS-This program is designed for kids 15 and under (families encouraged!). Other ages may be accommodated but please check with the attendant.-All youth under 18 must have a signed permission form completed during or prior to their first fishing experience with the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department.-Children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person, 14 years old or older. Children under 6 years old need to have a responsible individual within arm’s reach at all times.This program is made possible with the support of ODNR Division of Wildlife, the USFWS Wildlife & Sportfish Restoration Act, Baumler's Outdoors, and Erie Outfitters.

**due to Covid-19, this is currently unavailable**This gentle yoga is a restful, calming class that includes breathing, gentle flowing movements with passive and supported posses.  This class is appropriate for all levels including those with limited mobility or those that prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga. Modifications for poses will be offered but students must be able to get down to the floor and up again unassistedThere is an $8.00 drop-in fee per class or you can purchase a 12 visit punch pass membership for $60.00. Gus Huska has been teaching this program for many years and is excited to share his knowledge of the Korean martial art.  Designed for ages five and up, this affordable class is perfect for the entire family.  Whether you are a beginner or advanced you will appreciate the personal instruction in technique and discipline.  This program is the perfect way to stay physically fit.  All belt classifications are welcome!  Please call 440-930-4130 if you have any questions.Beginning in January 2020 this program will move from the Anchor Recreation Facility back to the Old Firehouse Community Center.  We will replace the eight week session format with an ongoing punch pass.  You may purchase a 12 punch/scan membership card for $60 which is good for one year.  You may also pay a drop in fee of $8.00 per class if you prefer.  The link below will take you to our membership registration if you wish to purchase a 12 scan membership card.
