Do the above fees include the cost of field trips?
Yes, they do! Should your child not attend a field trip for any reason, we cannot issue you a refund. Final camper counts are sent out to the organizations we visit well in advance. Additionally, if you opt out of a field trip you will not be permitted to attend camp that day as all staff attend every field trip.
What is the drop-off/pick-up process?
Drop off will be on the North side of Erieview off of Lake Road near the playground. Pick up will be at the front of Erieview in their circle drive at the main entrance. Parents and/or caretakers are expected to drop each child off a maximum of fifteen minutes before the class and they are expected to pick-up their child at the designated end time. Only individuals listed at the time of registration will be permitted to pick up the child. A photo ID must be presented upon pick-up each day. If additional people (not listed during registration) are required to pick up the child this must be put in writing ASAP and given to the program coordinator or lead teacher.
Late Policy: Late drop off, after 9:15AM, is strongly discouraged due to our schedule. Additionally, tardiness impacts the flow of camp and any can upset other campers. Campers that are perpetually late may not be allowed back to camp. Once camp has left Erieview for the day, campers will not be allowed to join camp.
The Avon Lake Recreation Department’s late pick-up fees are as follows:
A $5 late pick-up charge, plus $1 for each additional minute late will apply after 4:00PM (5:30PM for those who select Stay & Play). For example, if a parent arrives at 4:01PM, a $6 late fee will be applied. Fees must be paid prior to the start of the next camp day for your child to return to camp. A no-exceptions policy allows us to apply the late policy to everyone consistently and fairly. We do not want any parent/guardian to perceive that others are receiving special treatment, nor to put instructors in the position of determining what constitutes a “reasonable” excuse for lateness, so we must apply the fee across the board.
Refund Policy: 100% refunds, minus any non-refundable deposits, will be issued if the registrant cancels their registration four or more weeks before the start of a class or program. 50% refunds, minus any non-refundable deposits, will be issued if the registration is cancelled less than four weeks before the start of a class or program.
What to bring/wear to Camp:
athletic shoes and socks
non-perishable healthy lunch and drink (no soda/candy permitted)
weather appropriate clothing
sweatshirt in case of inclement weather

Camp is held primarily outdoors. Children must wear appropriate clothing and footwear. No sandals, crocs, or flip flops are permitted.
NO toys/dolls/stuffed animals, etc. are permitted.
For identification and safety purposes, camp t-shirts must be worn every day. Each camper, regardless of how many weeks you are registered for, will receive their first t-shirt for free. If you would like to purchase additional shirts for your convenience, please do so during registration.
Cost: First shirt is FREE. $7 for each additional.
*If your child attended camp in recent years, the green shirts may also be worn to camp this year, except on pool days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) when they should wear their orange shirts.
SAVE THE DATE: Meet & Greet Wednesday, June 8th 6pm – 8pm at Erieview Elementary School. Parents and campers are invited for a presentation to learn more about camp and meet the teachers and staff. Camp Packets must be turned in at this time and t-shirts will be available for pick up.
