Theater Camp
The Avon Lake Recreation Department is excited to present the fourth summer of Theater Camp (formerly known as Avon Lake Fine Arts Camp).  Led and created by the talented Susan Vance-Koch.
 

The Theater Camp will be an all-encompassing arts experience where campers will be encouraged to explore their creative talents in music, dance, theater and visual arts.  At the end of the three-week session, campers will perform on stage at the Avon Lake High School Performing Arts Center.
 

Session One: “Genies in a Bottle” 
Our campers will be experiencing many exciting and magical adventures after they discover the 6 Genies of ALFA! What will happen when the campers' wishes are their command?
The campers will be writing an original script, choosing the music, acting, singing, dancing, and painting the props and scenery for their show. They will be participating in all the aspects of theater, while having a wonderful time discovering their unique creative talents and making good friends. 
 
6/10 – 6/28 Monday through Friday (3 weeks)
Ages 7-12 (as of 6/15/23)
Camp Location:  Anchor Recreation Facility - 33483 Lake Road, Avon Lake, OH 
Monday – Friday (3 weeks)
Morning Session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Full Day 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (with 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm stay and play w/ you-pack lunch)
* Meet & Greet with Teachers & Staff on the first day right before your session:  8:45am - 9:15am or 12:45pm - 1:15pm.

Rehearsal/Performance Days: all sessions meet FULL DAYS 9:00 am – 4:00pm (6/26, 6/27 & 6/28 Only)
Avon Lake Performing Arts Center - 175 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake, OH
Final Performance: Friday, June 28 at 3:00 pm


Session Two: “Superheroes and Me!”
Our Campers will be experiencing some crazy and fun filled adventures with the on-line Superheroes of today! These Superheroes will be helping our campers discover their own unique superpowers that they can use to make this world a better place. Campers will be writing down their own original script, choosing the music, acting, dancing, signing, and painting the props and scenery for the show. Registration opens Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 9:00 am. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! Registration deadline is two-weeks prior to the start of each session.  Non-refundable deposit of $75 per session due at time of registration. Questions? Call (440) 930-4130.

Three Week Full Day
Resident $825.00 – that’s only $55 a day! (second sibling…$775) 
Non-resident fee $850.00 – that’s only $57 a day! (second sibling…$800) 
 

Three Week Morning OR Afternoon Session Only:
Resident $450.00 (second sibling…$400) 
Non-resident fee $475.00 (second sibling…$425)
