Theater Camp
The Avon Lake Recreation Department is excited to present fourth summer of our Avon Lake Theater Camp, created and directed by the talented Susan Vance-Koch.
Our campers will be in an all encompassing arts experience where the campers create their own script and explore their creative talents in music, dance, theater and the visual arts. At the end of the three week session, the campers will perform an original show on stage at the Avon Lake High School Performing Arts Center. 

Registration opens Friday, March 21, 2025 at 9:00 am. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! Registration deadline is two-weeks prior to the start of each session.  Non-refundable deposit of $75 per session due at time of registration. Questions? Call (440) 930-4130.

Session One: “The Magical Mystical Game” 
Imagine what will unfold when a group of kids discover an old game in a dusty backyard shed, only to find it possesses magical powers. What thrilling events will occur when they are drawn into the game and encounter legendary mythical characters?

6/9 – 6/27 Monday through Friday (3 weeks)
Ages 7-12 (as of 6/15/25)

Monday – Friday (3 weeks)
Morning Session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Full Day 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (with 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm stay and play w/ you-pack lunch)

* Meet & Greet with Teachers & Staff on the first day right before your session:  8:45am - 9:15am or 12:45pm - 1:15pm.

Rehearsal/Performance Days: all sessions meet FULL DAYS 9:00 am – 4:00pm (6/25, 6/26 & 6/27 Only)

Final Performance: Friday, June 27 at 3:00 pm

Session Two: “The Greatest Show”
The Circus has left their town for good and the town's children want to know why. How can they bring back the circus and the joy it used to bring to their town? Can they find a way to convince the town councilman that the circus can be a place where all are happy and respected? 

7/7 – 7/25 Monday through Friday (3 weeks)
Ages 7-12 (as of 6/15/25)

Resident $830.00 – that’s about $55 a day! (second sibling…$780) 
Non-resident fee $855.00 – that’s about $57 a day! (second sibling…$805) 
 
Three Week Morning OR Afternoon Session Only:
Resident $455.00 (second sibling…$405) 
Non-resident fee $480.00 (second sibling…$430)
