Boo by the Woods
BOO BY THE WOODS FESTIVAL
Thursday, October 10 & Saturday, October 12, 2024

At the Avon Lake Public Library and Lorain County Metroparks Kopf Reservation.

Presented by the City of Avon Lake, Avon Lake Recreation Department, and the Avon Lake Public Library.

Exclusive Title Sponsor: Kopf Builders.

Bigger and better than ever!  Now our 11th year of bringing Spooktacular family fun to Avon Lake.  On Thursday evening we will bring high-intensity scares to our indoor mazes for those who dare to enter the Library’s Basement of Terror!  There might also be a chance to bump into some eerie characters throughout the evening.

On Saturday we will have our "PG" rated Trail of Haunted Tales, including the option of walking the trail earlier for a non-scary experience during daylight.  As in years past, this remains a family-friendly event; however, you will have the opportunity to enter the much scarier Basement of Terror.

Other activities include an inflatable obstacle course, pumpkin decorating, tarot card reading, stilt walkers, and more!  Plus, we have added more characters and decorations, the Ghostbusters, Superheroes for Kids of Ohio, and creatures of the night from Back to the Wilds.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase from participating food trucks.
