Dreaming of hitting the water when the weather warms up? Prepare now by completing the Ohio Boating Education Course, taught by Natural Resource Officers from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft.

Course Dates & Times:
When: Saturday, January 16, 2027 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Where: The Lake House at Veterans' Park - 32756 Lake Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012
What:  This FREE, 8-hour course fulfills Ohio’s mandatory boater education law.
Note: Please bring a packed lunch.
Cost: Free
Residents: Registration begins Mon October 26 at noon.
Non-Residents: Registration begins Mon November 2 at noon.

If you were born after January 1, 1982 and plan to operate a boat with more than 10 horsepower, this certification is required.
