Summer Day Camp - Week 1: Early Drop Off 8:00am - 9:00am Looking for a fun, active, and inspiring summer experience for your children? Look no further! Summer Day Camp offers a convenient way for kids to stay engaged and active throughout the summer. Our program offers engaging activities, including visits to the city’s parks, library, pool, and exciting field trips. Each week features a new integrated theme that combines art, nature, and movement! You can rest easy knowing that our camp is led by certified teachers and staff, all trained in CPR and first aid, ensuring your children are well cared for.Registration opens Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 9am for Avon Lake residents. If any spots remain, non-residents registration opens Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 9am. Space is limited so reserve your spot today! Non-refundable deposit of $75 per week due at time of registration. Final payment for ALL weeks due by Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Cost per child: $280 resident/$305 non-resident per week. Sibling Discount: $25 sibling discount available when purchased in the same transaction (applies to each additional sibling registered in the same session).5 Week Discount - $100 off ($20/week) for registering for all 5 weeks. No refunds. Any adjustments will eliminate the qualification for the discount. Who: Children ages 6-10 as of 6/15/2025. Five-year-olds who have completed kindergarten may be considered. Highlights include multi-sport activities and skill-building challenges. Campers will also enjoy friendly competitions and team-based games designed to inspire confidence and camaraderie. Field Trips: W 6/25 Lake County Captains Baseball Game, F 6/27 NeoMotion Academy No Camp the week of July 4th Week 3: July 7-11 – Galactic Wonders and Mind-Bending Marvels!This theme captures the awe of exploring the universe in a planetarium and the intrigue of illusions, blending cosmic discovery with the mysteries of perception. Campers will also engage in hands-on activities like building model rockets and experimenting with optical illusions to uncover how science shapes our understanding of reality.Field Trips: W 7/9 Canton-McKinley Planetarium F 7/11 Museum of Illusion NEW THEME Week 4: July 14 – 18 – Playground Palooza – A Week of Epic Summer Fun!Join us for Playground Palooza, the ultimate week-long summer camp adventure for kids who love to play, explore, and bounce their way through summer! Each field trip brings a new destination as we visit some of the best and most exciting playgrounds in Northeast Ohio—from towering slides to creative climbing structures and everything in between.Field Trips: W 7/16 Three Playgrounds, F 7/18 Two Playgrounds & Foam Party & Inflatable Week 5: July 21 – 25 – Soak Up the Fun: Water Week Celebration Get ready to soak up the fun during this action-packed Water Week! Campers will beat the heat with water games, balloon tosses, and creative crafts. A visit to a splash pad will let them splash and play to their hearts' content, and the exciting cardboard boat race at the pool. To top it all off, campers will enjoy an End-of-Summer Picnic filled with food, games, and special memories to bid summer farewell!Field Trips: W 7/23 Amherst Splash Pad and F 7/25 End of the Summer Splash Party at Weiss Field or Bleser Park. Refund Policy: 100% refunds, minus any non-refundable deposits, will be issued if the registrant cancels their registration four or more weeks before the start of a class or program. 50% refunds, minus any non-refundable deposits, will be issued if the registration is cancelled less than four weeks before the start of a class or program. Refunds are not offered to registrants after the first day of camp 6/16 without written documentation of extenuating circumstances. Camp Shirts: For identification and safety purposes, camp shirts must be worn EVERY day. One FREE camp shirt is included for each week that you register for. If you would like to purchase additional shirts for your convenience, please do so during online registration for $10 each. These shirts will also be worn in the pool. They are high-quality 100% polyester dri-fit shirts.
