Deck the House Contest

Deck the House Holiday Lights Contest
Is your home the brightest on the block?  Does your electric bill double during the month of December?  Are you the most festive home around?  Then dig out your holiday lights, wreathes and reindeer!  It’s time to spread some cheer.
 
The Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a contest to find the best holiday light displays in the city. Put up a display at your home or business within Avon Lake, then take a picture of your work and submit it to ALREC@avonlake.org with your family name and street address by Monday, December 12th.
 
RULES:
This contest is open to all residents in Avon Lake.
Each entrant must decorate their house between November 2023 and December 11th, 2023 and submit their entry by December 11th.  Submit early for a chance to be featured on the Holiday Lights Bus Tour Route.
 
By submitting an entry, contestants grant the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation permission and authority to use said pictures in any reasonable advertising or promotional activities.

Winners announced on January 3rd. 

Prizes will be awarded to the winning families from our generous local Avon Lake businesses like:  Peter & Co. Jewelers, Sweetbriar & Legacy, Parker's/Old School, Randall's Team Shop and Earthwise Pet
