Virtual Safety Town

Safety Town
This safety education program is offered to both residents and non-residents of Avon Lake entering kindergarten, as well as those entering first grade who may have missed Safety Town last year.  All the same lessons that are taught during in-person Safety Town will be available to you through a  Google Classroom link.  Lessons for the week will be sent to you with fun homework assignments you can complete with your child.  Once the week is finished and the assignments are all submitted, your child will receive a certificate of completion.

One important goal is that each child will be able to state their full name, address and phone number.  Participates will receive instruction on how to protect themselves from strangers, learn about water safety, school bus safety, bike safety, and hear from our fire and police departments about how to stay safe in our city.

Time will be made available for registered students registered in the virtual class to ride the cars outside in our gated Safety Town community (supervised by parents).  Space and time is limited.  Dates and times to be announced.

Residents and Non-Residents are welcome. 

$25 fee for the course.
