Avon Lake Youth Baseball is grade based.  Register by the grade your child is  CURRENTLY in. 


Coach Pitch - Grades 1-2
Wednesday evenings and Saturday Mornings. Once set weekday games will typically be the same day each week throughout the season starting at 6:00 pm.  Saturday games are typically in the mornings starting sometime between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.  The main focus is on having fun and learning the basics of the game.

Minors - Grades 3-4 & Majors - Grades 5-6
Practices may begin in late April/early May based on coaches availability.  Games may begin the third week of May depending on the weather and may be up to 2 to 3 times per week.  These are kid pitch leagues where the main focus is on having fun and learning and developing the fundamentals of the sport.  End of the season single elimination tournament.      

Jr. Thurman Munson- Grades 7-9 
Practices may begin in late April/early May based on coaches availability.  Games may begin the third week of May depending on the weather and may be up to 2 to 3 times per week.  This league requires travel to surrounding cities.  Grade 9 has the option to play in either the Jr. or Sr. Thurman Division.  End of the season single elimination tournament. 

Sr. Thurman Munson - Grades 9-12
Recent graduates are able to participate in the Senior Leagues.  Practices may begin in late April/early May based on coaches availability.  Games may begin the third week of May depending on the weather and may be up to 2 to 3 times per week.  This league requires travel to surrounding cities.  Grade 9 has the option to play in either the Jr. or Sr. Thurman Division.  End of the season single elimination tournament.  

Games will begin the week of May 20 and regular season will end by July 6 and playoffs beginning the week of July 8. 

REGISTRATION CLOSES   March 15, 2024 
All late registrations will be based on availability and may be subject to a late fee.
